While in the UK in 1997, my Trafalgar Tour traveled around Wales. We got to get inside Cardiff Castle before 9am - which gave us the opportunity to photograph the interior, something people aren't normally allowed to do.
After the big tour, we were allowed to walk around the grounds and gift shop for about an hour before we took off. I found that they sold these but the ones on display were all chipped, so they got one from storage for me. And this was it. I brought this Cymru Glass Pint from Cardiff Castle for Gabe's birthday that year. At the time, he wasn't really into drinking out of a pint, but now, he loves it.
All the shields on it are the official shields of the shires in Wales and in the surrounding areas of Cardiff.
