I've had the biggest week ever! Since I've broken my toe, I'm supposed to rest; fair enough. However, in the last week, so much has happened, it's hard to put into words.
From the left along the top to the right: On 17th, March, it was St Patrick's Day and The World's Greatest Shave. I was out and about with Mum and Dad going to an event at Springwood Centro to have my hair coloured and shaved - don't worry, not all of it. On the way, I bought some plants for my garden; 4 for $14.00... a great bargain!
Then, on Tuesday, I received my JB Hi-Fi voucher and Dad and I drove to Garden City to spend up big. I bought a tv and some cds and an iTunes voucher... very cool.
Down the Right Side: On Monday (Yeah, I've gone backwards, oops!), Mum and Dad went to Bunnings with me where we bought some gardening supplies. I bought 4 bags of potting mix 3 gorgeous terracotta pots, a Happy Plant for inside and a set of solar lights.
From the Right along the bottom: My favourite plant in my garden needed repotting. However, I had a Green Ants' nest in it... dreadful little blighters with a horrible bite! So, I dunked the whole plant into a bucket of water and they left the nest, I repotted and it looks great now. However, I also got rid of their Queen...
I won a prize on the net: a book, emery boards and two pens on a blog called 'The Romance Bandits'. Lots of fun... and the book is hilarious.
On Friday morning, while I was eating breakfast, the recycling truck was making its rounds when it cut the corner on a turn and clipped one of our car ports - big oops! - the whole thing collapsed! Nobody was hurt but the car did suffer some damage.
Last two pictures: Yesterday we had our State elections. I don't like voting, but then, I don't think anyone does. And the last one is a close-up of one of my new plants.
The main picture is of the succulents on the table out in my back yard... I'm getting a lovely little collection now. :)
So, that was my very busy, noisy and unusual week. How was yours?
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
The solar lights were switched on this afternoon - after the batteries were charged up for 3 days of full sunshine - they look great! :D
