@digitalrn Actually, the male (the right hand photos) was finding plenty to eat while he female companion just followed along quietly behind him looking out for other birds to attack them. A great pair these two; and they've been in our area for a couple of years now.
Their usual fare are the lawn grubs, worms and grasshoppers; a Magpie's delight! :D
