This is Jim, one of the lady's husband's, and his spinning wheel. He's a collector of these great things; and makes and fixes them as well. However, he's told me that this model is the one people are most after now, instead of the bigger-wheel ones - which I love more than anything else because of their tradition feel - as they are more portable, take up less space and are easier to store. He can understand why I love the older ones; as they give you more space to move with the wool.
And his wife has said that since he retired, some years back now, he's loved getting right into spinning yard and lamb's wool as a hobby... and would you believe that Jim's 81 years young? Yep, neither did I!

@busylady@digitalrn Thank you both for you lovely comments. I was surprised to see the spinning wheel at the craft group today... this was his first time here. We get a lot of first-timers who don't return, but with Jim, I think he'll come back again because a lot of ladies bring a long some lovely food. :D
