Murarrie State School Market by mozette

Murarrie State School Market

This morning I was up at 5:30am, showered, had breakfast and packed the esky and was out the door by 7:45am... on the dot!

I went to the bank and punched into the GPS the address to the primary school I was attending for the market today - my first all-day market!

The traffic wasn't as bad as I anticipated and I arrived there within 15 minutes (how cool is that?) and was the first to begin setting up my stall. However, the wind was really strong... and before long it became a menace... even though the day was fine and gorgeous, it made a lot of things difficult for everyone around me.

Some of the marques take off - quite literally - and a lot of my boxes closed or the metal board I use for the magna-pegs kept attempting to fall over...

Otherwise, I made a good lot of money! Yay!

Two ladies arrived at my stall meaning to buy only a paired picture frames (two frames made as a pair) and they ended up buying a megga-magna meg and three magna-peg bon-bons as well as the frames! Wow! I was amazed...

One of my friends dropped by and bought another paired frame to put a picture of his wife and his daughter into (how lovely is that?) and he then helped me pack up everything. :D

I'm so tired... and it's only just past 9pm.

PS: Oh... those two white things that look like large dogs in the pen are Galway Miniature Cows... aren't they adorable?
A super collage a shame it had to be windy though but some great sales after your hard work.

@wendyfrost @digitalrn thank you both for your lovely comments. I had a great day and am happy I made so much money for that one day. However, quite a few people left because of the strong wind. I believe if you have promised to show and stick around for an event as big as this, you should stay no matter what happens (well, okay, if there's a massive storm, by all means, pack up and take off). But wind is just wind. You have to adjust your stall to make sure your customers can see your things and enjoy the day as much as you do.
