My friends (who I cooked for with Will) gave me this gazebo. However, a major part of it snapped almost immediately!
OMG!
So, I took it to Mum and Dad's place where Dad and I worked on that one piece for over an hour to fix it only to have it break again as we were putting it up!!
So, I kept the canopy and tossed the frame. I hate cheaply-made things when they're not much use to people.
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
@dawnee I talked to Dad about where my friends had gotten this one. Their family had given it to them for 'mate's rates' (aka: nothing). Dad and I came to the conclusion that this has been fixed before we had a try at fixing it and because it broke so easily, it was the reason why it hasn't been used much.
So, I told him that this one was under $100 at Bunnings (big hardware store here in Australia) and he asked me which one I had my eye on; and said an Oztrail - which costs $155 minus the walls. I said that I can afford the walls and scotch-guarding (waterproofing) but not the gazebo... he nodded.
When he nods, it sounds promising. :D
