Late yesterday afternoon, I repotted my Dracaena plant. I did it at that time of day because the old pot had a big ants nest in it and that's when they settle in for the night. The nest doesn't expect an attack at night, while it's cooling down.
Well, I found the Queen and killed her - unfortunately, you have to do that to disband an ants nest - and then I was good to go with the repotting. The nest disbanded quickly, I organised the stones from the old pot, opened a new bag of garden soil and cut a quarter of the old roots from the plant to make it fit... what a mess!
I ended up raking in the old soil into the back yard and watering it in, washing off the pavers and before I knew it, the place looked like I had never been there!
Writer, poet, artist and prolific reader.... that's me.
I'm a collector of books, vinyls, coin purses and strange handbags... that's me too.
Otherwise, I love...
