Actually took more than 9 times to get the bokeh in a decent position. My Get Pushed partner Alison suggested I take a photograph using forced perspective. I took a few of me lifting my hubbies car but my arm just looked crazy and distorted. So @alisonp it is basically forced perspective epic fail..but I did not want to give up.This is as good as it is going to get..but I will keep trying!
I tried this one. Yours is good! I really want to try the xmas light bokeh trick with something like chop sticks, but that would require getting out the xmas box in Oct. and well, I can't do it. :) Oh, and don't forget to put your partner's name in the comment box. Your "tag" of her in the narrative never signals a note to the partner apparently. :)
I think you have done a great job on the challenge, you have the required elements for a forced perspective image. The bokeh looks wonderful, was it natural or lights?
Hope you don't mind some suggestions? ...
Have you tried pulling back a little so that all the glass and more of your bokeh is in the frame? Your ISO seems very high too, could you have reduced your shutter speed and lowered the ISO [I have looked at others exif and they all seem to have low ISO and low shutter speeds]
The glass made me smile ~ it looks like the flowers are eyes and the reflection toward the bottom a smiley face :-) love it, love the tones and colours and the detail in the glass is beautiful!
Really interesting shot and conversation going on here :) I am learning from the comments (lower ISO and shutter speed), must try something like this some time. Beautiful shot & beautiful vase. I really want to see the one of you lifting the car!
@alisonp thank you Alison! And for your suggestions! It was natural bokeh,I did try pulling back and moving the vase around but this one seemed most...."natural" ( a term I am using loosely!)thanks for the suggestions and the ISO and shutter speeds.I will try it! I took this on the picnic table in my woodland garden ( aka my outdoor photography studio lol!)
@linah that is why I do these get- pushed challenges, Linda! It is like a photography class.Sure,it is hard and I am rarely successful, but I learn more every time!I just love this place.:)

I too would love to see the car shots :-)
