Three tall beacons or torches are set inside a pavement-level water feature with lights at their base. They are inspired by one of Letchworth Garden City’s most important icons, the 1909 Foursquare Our City processional banner. They are a symbol of regeneration, evoking images of leaf forms, flower buds, shoots or flaming torches.
