Identify This No. 117

This object is something we have probably all used in one form or another (literally). What is it?

I think most people pretty much worked out that these are push-brooms (don't they talk funny on the other side of the pond!). Or you could call them yard brushes, brooms or, more straight forwardly, brushes.

Well done you cleanliness people! Good job spotting these. You may have noticed they are looking under the weather. The one at the front has been with me for more than 30 years. So it is an a heirloom. I have kept it well maintained. It has had six new heads and two new handles, but it is still the best broom I have ever had! (LOL!)

Honorable mentions...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Carole Imes - Whisk brooms! Wow! Not sure what one of those is, but I will take your word for it!!! LOL>
lorihiro - A really old ccrubbing brush with bristles that are so brittle and dried up! Net says:-->> No! Yard brushes. But a good effort. LOL.
Paula Brumbe - the mode of transit most d by all the chic witches and warlocks. Net says:-->> Oooops! No, but a Doohicky Award! Yaahy!
Alison Bailey - A couple of good, old- fashioned, bristle brooms which have seen better days - bless! There might be more than 2, of course, you might have snuck some more in behind the one at the back just to trick us. Net says:-->> No, just the two sad old ones...! LOL>
scooter - Something I ride... ha ha ha...I am only kidding, seriously!!! LOL A broom!! :D - Hope you realize I "try" to have a sense of humor at times!!! Net says:-->> LOL. You have a great sense of humor most days. You are not kidding this time really tho' are you? (Tee hee - only teasing).
Paula Cook-Farkas - I believe this is a mustache transplant in process! There must be a follically challenged man who is preparing for one HELL of a mustache! Net says:-->> OK, Huge LOL> In fact Laugh of the Night with this one! Loved it. (Giggle). By the whiskers of Kurvy Tasch, you get tonights Catapiller Lip Award! YeeeeeeeHaaaaaa!!!
Sue Roth - it is hair going through a comb... Net says:-->> Wow! That would be some brush job every night. Owww! A Doohicky Award! Yaahy!
Kaz Bellie - Its the small broom from a dust pan. Net says:-->> Nope, its a big broom for brushing the yard! LOL. Nice try.
Howard N - When the things come down the drain pipe and dry out you have many options to remove them... maybe a rake, a shovel or the item pictured, which would probably clean up the yuk the best... a long handle, natural bristle push broom, is my guess.. And, it looks like they come in matched pairs (like dueling pistols), or maybe it's that one is left-handed, the other, right! Net says:-->> Loved the right and left idea Howard. Definitly the front one is left handed. a "Doohicky Award!" Yaho!
Alta D© - a hundred bristles to make one brush? is that it? Net says:-->> You might be right! I have no idea! LOL.
Sue Wilde - That's my transport!!!!! But who owns the other one? Net says:-->> The other owner is round here somewhere. I got turned into a frog twice today. LOL.
Lesley Barber - ....me,of course....! Net says:-->> Oh! Its yours. Well perhaps I am actually a frog and never noticed. EEEK!
Bev - some kind of broom Net says:-->> Some kind of correct! yeehaa.
Thanks for popping by, look forward to seeing you again soon!
This one is easy. This is what is used when the one, just like it, fails. It is a replacement. This one is a beige color but it is also available in RGB. I wanna say it looks like some sort of paper binder/clip, what have you, but have never seen anything like it on these shores.
It looks like a hair clip in one angle, a chopstick in another and a fastener all rolled into one. I therefore call this an all-around thingamajig.
I'm usually able to identify your objects easily, or not at all. This is the first time, though, that I'm stuck in the middle; I've got the answer on the tip of my brain, but can't quite get it to form properly. It's a... it's a... well, I wish they were "thought tweezers" that one could use to clear blocked synapses...
It's used to bundle papers together.
The side bits swing back into the centre cavity making it much tidier to look at when it is in the rest position.
