Birthday cake from yesterday. The best sort of cake. A Victoria sponge. Yummy. Not sure the W.I. would approve of the decorations on top but eldest wanted to decorate it for daddy.
A personal decoration like that is far better than all these over the top affairs! Harry hates it when people have been breathing over a cake for hours decorating it to the last inch!
@happypat I've decided whilst eating up that littlest choice of cadburys caramel spots makes a good addition to a Vicky sponge! Harry may not want to eat our cakes....hygiene levels are not at the highest when baking with eldest he likes to taste and try bits as we make them...I always figure the heat must kill of most of whatever might have been added in and just don't think about it too much!
@gigiflower he was singing happy birthday and was ready to pounce to blow out the candles. He was also excited by the prospect of eating the cake. He loves cake.
@newbank ah well that's the best bit ...all personally sprayed with your own family bugs! My kids never caught much when they were little...farm bugs are pretty healthy....green top milk & all that. Kids can be too sanitised these days, they get no resistance! It would be very much wolfed down I expects,
