We used these 'talk' cards over lunch today. Home schooling was harder today, such a weird reality at the moment. So tell me about the last time you were really excited?
Home schooling is a tough thing methinks!
Last time I was really excited? When I was on the way to visit my son and meet his pals from his course. I was bouncing around like Tigger and couldn't get the smile off my face!
The social distancing has put a damper on things - but this too shall pass - see past exciting adventures here + we are planning the next - https://photographyadventures.ca
Our new "normal" is so odd and surreal. We are on "spring break" now so we are breaking from our v-learning for a little, although I don't know what else we will do. I was very excited about going to a concert in the city with my husband and friends in February!!
The last time I was really excited was at 10.30 am today.
The starter motor has given up on the car of a friend of mine and her car is being repaired. I volunteered this morning to drive her to the supermarket so she could do her grocery shopping. I am so glad I did because I finally found a pack of 12 toilet rolls.
There have not been any toilet rolls in the shops for weeks unless you get there at 7 am and stocks have been disappearing within minutes as people panic buy. I did have a few in stock at home so thought I would leave it until the panic died down a bit. Today my act of kindness to my friend paid off and I was rewarded with being in the supermarket just they were topping up the supply of toilet rolls ready for the next wave of customers.
Life doesn't get much more exciting that that at the moment.
That’s easy...watching the female hummers make such a huge effort to gather beakfulls of cat o 9 tail fluff to make hearths for their babies...this morning
Stepping on stage last October to play an frustrated teacher in a play, staged in a professional theater. We had another play down to dress rehearsal when this dreadful plague hit. Life is on hold for now I'm thinking how excited I'll be when we get the all clear.
I am excited about not going anywhere. We have 3 introverts in our family, so only one - the little one - is suffering from lack of social contact for now.
