Frozen Dewdrop by nickspicsnz

Frozen Dewdrop

I went out early with the camera this morning. It was very frosty and I was amazed to see these teeny tiny dewdrops which were frozen to the end of a blade of grass. I tried to take a photo of my finger touching them to show they were frozen but I couldn't get the focus right. I was kneeling down in the long frosty grass to take the photos and Tilly decided it was a new game so I'm surprised I got anything in focus! (P.S. I think this shot looks better on black.)
Great to get that frost captured as well as the most beautiful frozen drops! I'll have to go out and see if I can do as well!

Very well done - isn't it neat that 365 and photography really opens our eyes to nature's beauty. Bet your knees and hands were cold by the time you'd finished!

Great closeup. They almost look like eye on the end of the blade of grass.

These are the shots you remember taking ... the ones where you suffer for your art.

You've captured this really well, it's been worth the early morning tribulations. The focus and dof are impressive.

I really like the details and bluey black background.

@alinz Thanks Ali. I hope she found out what frost was really like by having bare feet too, hehehehe!

@dide Thanks Diane. My hands were quite cold but I suspect yours have been much colder down South.

@deliad @deborah63 @susiemc @nitrogene @phil_howcroft @snaphappi @northernlad @bkbinthecity @rob24 @2nutsinatree @janewinfrey Thank you all so much. I've never noticed frozen dewdrops before 365. I was pleased with how this turned out although sometimes I wish I was able to get closer without losing focus and clarity.

@rickster549 Thanks Rick. There was frost on the rest of the blade and the bokeh is from the sun shining on frost on the blades of grass behind.

Very nice, it's hard to think its cold somewhere while its hot and humid here.

Nice shot, Rick. Love the clean lines and shiny drops
