Our little town had it's Santa Parade this evening. Several local businesses, the emergency services, residents from the retirement village, etc. take part. The highlight is, of course, Santa who rides on an old fire truck and hands out ice blocks (ice lollies to my UK friends - not sure what they're called elsewhere). These pirates were having fun on the Playcentre float.

They really seemed to be enjoying themselves, unlike some of the kids who were over it after having to wait around for an hour beforehand for judging. @susiemc and @fbailey I know - Christmas feels a bit weird when it's hot and sunny. @laroque Haha, even in our little town we had hippies, pirates, the Polar Express, Pink Ladies to name but a few. @johnsutton Yes indeed, the Santa Parade is an annual highlight in our town's calendar. @happypat Thanks Pat.
