Cornwall, off the tourist track. Carharrack, a huge old mining area, old buildings, shale and "tailing lagoons" associated with what was once the largest copper mine in the word. The lagoons are deep red with high level of arsenic, copper and zinc contamination. Just the place for a morning swim....
