The last time we went to this site of Roman remains was over 35 years ago, I have to say things have changed a bit!! Lots of mosaic floors uncovered, but I like the under floor heating systems, the Romans were so advanced! This is a mosaic floored room, you can see the raised floor made up of piles of tiles, a fire would be lit in an area leading to all the spaces under the floors and this would heat the rooms.
