This building stands on the edge of the grounds to our local school. Many years ago this was an office occupied by people working for Thomas Cook one of the first major holiday travel companies set up in the UK. As a company they owned thousands of acres around our local area. Today much of the original land is owned by a trust set up by Thomas Cook to keep the remaining land free from development and for use by local people. Thomas Cook sadly went under many years ago, but the trust is managed by trustees in perpetuity.
