A Piece of Ice

My hens and chicks are out in pots on my front steps year around. Hens and chicks are succulents, but these hardy little plants endure neglect and our winters. Today has been brutally cold and windy. This morning, I found the ice like this in the middle of several rosettes. I have no idea how it managed to freeze this way. There are no plants or overhangs above these pots for it to have dripped. The only edit on this is a crop.
Very cool! I love this plant because my grandmother had them all around her house.

I love the way you’ve captured the teeth on the leaves. A really interesting shot.

You have two shots in a row with freezing phenomenons! This is very cool, and your succulent seems to be thriving in spite of frozen matter!

I guess nature has their own idea. Nice close up.

Nice find. Plants breathe so I guess that could be a source of moisture?

The water landed there somehow- and it did freeze in such an interesting way- good catch!
