A Wintry Watering Hole by njmom3

A Wintry Watering Hole

Okay, not really in the densely populated suburb that I live in. But, in my mind and in my camera, I can leave out the suburb and imagine.
Very cool effect!

I think some of us would like to see winter go swirling down that hole- although I must say it looks really pretty with all the snow around these days. Cool processing!

@olivetreeann agreed but still trying to see the beauty in it. Tomorrow is predicted to be sunny and 40s. Hoping for melting!

Absolutely fascinating result from your processing. Is this what you had hoped for or was it a sort of happy accident? Either way, I love it!

@bkp Certain types of images lend themselves to this effect. So yes, I was hoping it would work this way but wasn’t sure it would. I am still experimenting with the tools and having fun!

I like this a lot, too - intriguing! But HOW did you do it, I wonder?

@jakb Photograph taken with the native iPhone Camera. Edited using snapped and icolorama apps on the phone. The icolorama "deforms" effect has the ability to create the circular rendering of an image.

Beautifully done (and you can hardly see the suburb, just lovely trees and sky)

Its always interesting seeing what 'tiny planet' will do to a photo! Either good or bad - good here!
