Thanks everyone for your sympathy and ecouragement following my wife's fall. I will do my best to continue to participate here as it is very much a part of my life now.
I had a quick wander round the garden and realised the witch hazel was in bloom adding its distinctive form and color to brighten the scene. Somehow Spring felt closer.
