I'm back from the cottage, the laundry is going full tilt, and now comes the arduous task of sifting thru some 1800 photos (gak! somebody STOP me!)... It will take me a while, so very little risk of me spamming you with more than a couple shots at any one time... :)
The above is a long exposure taken in bright light using my ND filter at max... not sure how I ended up with those hexagonal flares, but I kinda like them... This one definitely looks better large on black if you have a moment to spare...
Thanks for all the lovely comments about my grungified beachscape shot... for all of you who admired the processing, can I just say that snapseed is the most ridiculously easy editing software I've ever played with...
Off now to start getting caught up on everyone's photos here :)
Good to see you back, and this is kind of different. I Like. The shape of lens flare depends on the amount of aperture blades, that lens must have 6 and the shape would be more pronounced due to the long exposure.
@newbie tx Stacey... there was actually very little processing... bumped up the light and contrast a teeny bit, and cropped... oh, and added some sharpness... but that was it... really... ;p
love this shot, something a bit mysterious and magical about it. i just had this happen recently (the spots) and i believe it was because there were some rain drops on my lens. Wonder if that could be the cause of yours? i actually like them too!
were you gone for a week? of course you could take 800 pictures:) i'd do the same i am sure. good luck sifting through them, looking forward to seeing more!
@cdonohoue tx Cathy... this one wasn't edited with snapseed - only the one from friday the 13th (!!) was... however, in researching photoediting software, i found that snapseed is available for both MAC and windows!!! http://www.snapseed.com/
@cmc1200@onie@paulaag tx :) in my defense about the 1800 photos, many were of my kids who are constantly in motion and absolutely refuse to pose... so i have to shoot a lot with the hopes of getting one or two in focus, where their eyes are open and no one is making any horrific faces...
Yes! Johnny Appleseed spread the appleseeds, and I spread the love for Snapseed! So maybe I should be called MaryBethSnapseed? I love this unusual result you got here. Funny,I put up a photo of my version of Swamp Thing just now....
I love this thing. Fav!
