The things we do for our kids...

Hockey practices get us up at the crack of dawn, and it is freakin' expensive...

For the Street Photography Now challenge which this week was: "Follow the Money" originally set by Stephen McLaren...

It is sooo unbelievable the amount of money and time spent on this, I only know 2 young men from our area that made it to the pros...

I know what you're talking about... I paid the year of fees upfront this time almost $4000 for two kids to swim and that doesn't include meet fees or travel expenses. It's worth it though...keeps them fit and out of trouble! At least I don't freeze watching like you though! Ha ha. Nice "arena" scene!

Oh and yes I think it counts as a street shot - but then I take half my 'street' shots in a shopping centre. ;)

I know what you mean. I've spent today making a Mad Hatter outfit today for youngest son to wear to a Halloween party next weekend...only waiting on the bright orange wig to be delivered ;o) xx

Like the lines here - and yes I now take my ipad when I am waiting for my kids .. and waiting ... and waiting - thank heavens for that little invention!!

Oof. I was always glad my son never expressed an interest in playing hockey - we went the soccer route. Still, I spent many hours watching games in the cold and rain. :)

Cool shot, love the lines and the people, perfect in b and w.

Love the use of black and white. I also like the prominent "exit" sign that stands out against the parallel lines...because some mornings, I'm sure that's exactly what you want to do!
