And i went back and took another picture of it this morning, but it was boring...
so i decided to see what happened when i gave it the "little planet" treatment.... and it was kind of cool, but i couldn't clean up the bit where the ends joined up... so i played some more, and inverted it... and then i cleaned up the background... and then i decided to see what happened if i converted to b&w... and so, yeah... this craptastic mess is what happened... altho, in some respects, i think the pre-bw version is a little less harsh on the eyes... and it has these pretty blue dots on it... it's here - if you can stand it!
Oh this is such an awesome pic! I love the planet processing you've used on it! I love your description as well =D Made me smile! Super job as always my dear!
Oooh it's cooler than you think!! Nice job. I seriously need to try this planet thing! I need a shot of something other than what I have though... hmmm
I love this Northy! When I saw the title a song popped into my mind.....do you know the one about 'and on that tree, there was a branch.....and the green grass grew all around, all around and the green grass grew all around'.......fav
I'd love to try the little planet thing. No idea where to start though. I love what you've done with this. Much prefer the B&W version to the plain inverted image xx
Northy, I started doing the same thing yesterday with my shots...ended up with just a rolling canvas since I didn't like my little planet versions. This one is really nice!
@psychographer do you have PSE? It's a piece of cake if you do... I will try to remember to post a link to the instructions later (don't have it on my iPhone)
Nice play with editing. Looks like a 'little planet shot'. I saw something like this before, but never with a single tree. Love it! Please tell me, when you post the the link to a tutorial. Thanks
very cool shot, like what you've done with this...I kind of quite like days where the pure photography goes wrong...playing can get some great results!!
And I LOVE 'craptastic'. That's one that I somehow have never heard before, and I will be adopting it at some point.
This is really neat. well done.
