Little Toy Lost by northy

Little Toy Lost

This image was taken as part of a set for the camera setting challenge: http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/16160/camera-settings-challenge-20-in-camera-meter

After quite a bit of going back and forth, i think i've decided that i like this one best... I used the partial metering setting resulting in an exposure of 13 seconds...

The collage with all four images and a bit more explanation is in my other album...

This is a polished looking image. Nice. The technical side of this challenge eludes me, a bit over my head, so it's great to see what you're doing here.

It's hard deciding sometimes...especially after staring into the screen hoping the image will tell you which one is best. This was a tough call for me as I was stuck between this shot and center-weighted...neither of which I usually use. I guess I should explore a bit with these settings.
Nice idea....love the lighting on the lil' toy. Thanks for showing us the results northy!

What amazing lighting you capture here! Superb job! Love the little toy just waiting to be rescued :) I do believe I recognize this brave little knight from the music-photo shot as well :) he really gets around that house :) hehe

Interesting shot. The little toy seems to be wondering how much further. It looks a long way lost.

Love it, well worth the effort

Really cool. Looked at the other one, I would have to agree, still get the richness of the yellow tones without under or blowing it out.
Nice one!

I like that there's no shadow from the toy but still a reflection in the floor.

The poor little fella really is overwhelmed by space. Like the drama in this one.
