For get pushed Juliette (@sparkle) challenged me to do an inverted black and white panning shot... I wasn't sure if i was supposed to convert to black and white and then invert, or invert first... i decided to invert first... it was kind of a "holy crap" moment because the light here sucks today, but inverted there's this funky glow from the shadow...

I think this looks better on black :)

Mega shout-out to my boy who agreed to come out with me in sub-zero weather in order to pull this off...

Thank you all for the wonderful response to my TGIF shot from yesterday... some days, it's just all about the light :)
@sparkle - it really is a panning shot, even tho' it's kinda hard to tell given how dark the walls ended up... so... was i supposed to do invert first before converting to bw? or vice versa? i generally shoot RAW, so wasn't thinking to shoot in bw to start with...

Very cool - not what I had in mind at all, but I love your tag comment...that's panning for you! This is a great image. I would have done exactly as you did - invert first then B&W. Well done to your boy for helping you get this - fav!

@sparkle tx Juliette... this was a great challenge for me... panning is not something i do much of, and having to plan it out, think about it in black and white AND inverted really made me have to think it thru!

@lynnb tx Lynn... he was kind of puzzled by the end result, and a little ticked that you couldn't see his face (vain little devil that he is ;p)... but the shot made PP for a brief time and he was quite thrilled about that :)

@kbalychev tx! and yep - i got him a cookie from starbucks :)

@roadshow tx Gloria! and just so you know, a year ago, i wouldn't have had a clue about what most of those words meant either... the reason i know today is purely 365 :)
