this was one of those insane ideas that started as something completely different and ended up... here...
for the mad minute word challenge... the word is impecuniousness... which means penniless... which Canada now is as the penny was dropped from circulation this past February... yes - i know that's a stretch - get over it... my mind works in weird ways...
processed in lightroom... then in nik silver fx for black and white with a sepia toner added... and then to colour fx to add some fog and a touch of warmth... because nostalgia is supposed to be warm and fuzzy, right?

Unfortunately I remember that year only too well! Nice shot but at the risk of being called pedantic and not in any way wishing to question the ways in which your endlessly creative mind works, I might point out that this is a penny so the shot is not penniless!! :-)
@yrhenwr yeah... i know... like i said - this started as something totally else... there was supposed to be a canadian flag overlayed on top - but it just wasn't working for me ;p

I've been hearing rumblings here in recent years regarding doing away with our penny. I do understand the logic, but I'm rather fond of our little copper discs and I'd miss them.
