ever hopeful by northy

ever hopeful

better? for get pushed this week, Jacki (@jav0930) challenged me to "capture hope, hopefullness, 'the light at the end of the tunnel'"...

i still think this is "dark" and therefore not what was intended... but "hope" is not a concept i seem able to wrap my mind around... not that i am particularly pessimistic - just very very pragmatic... ;p

processed in lightroom... converted to black and white in nik silver fx, then some glow and soft focus filters added in colour fx...

(works well large on black)
@jav0930 - how's this one?

Closer. ;)

Really emotive shot and more of a 'realistic' look at hope than a sunny, flowery one.

I like what you have achieved

Cool shot

It had to be dark. The darkness evokes more sensation. Well done.

I love how there are two candles and flames mirrored back to us. Hope X 2!

Any light in darkness gives hope - I like the darkness though - the contrast makes it more "hopeful" if that makes sense? I need more caffeine ;)

Its lovely. It does make me think of hope. Kind of like civil war era, woman waiting for her loved one to come home from war kind of hope :)

The candle in the window has ever been a sign of hope...the light that will guide a loved one home. I like it.
