on August 25, we took the overnight ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari... it was the weirdest experience... i felt like i was on the titanic (the ferry is HUMONGOUS) and it was kind of petrifying... we booked cabins so we could sleep (hahaha - as if THAT was going to happen)... the kids' cabin was 2 floors down from us which completely freaked me out... many folks, however, do NOT book cabins... you can book these reclining chairs (kinda like airplane seats), which are set up in rows in a large room - which just looked creepy... like something out of a sci fi alien-abduction movie... and then there were tons of people who just unrolled sleeping bags here, there and anywhere... so the place had a refugee feel to it... on the whole, there weren't that many up to view the sunrise - but it wasn't something i was gonna miss, trite though it may be :)
(remember, you need to add 6 hours to EXIF time as i never adjusted my camera)

wonderful sunrise and composition (my daughter did the same trip from Athens a few weeks before and didn't come back with much in the way of photos at all - I was most disappointed)
