I like your train station shots, they remind me of a time when I had to travel on the underground (thankfully now only when I visit Europe on holiday!) This one has an eerie feel to it.
Well it is superb. ..you do it so well! It's a fav, but I know what you mean. In your place I would tear it to shreds even if it had a thousand faves! If I feel my shots are becoming recognisably mine I always want to do something different and often I feel stuck. Maybe we should be ultra critical to help wean you off it? But we would be dishonest if we did. Your best bet is to try it in very different situations to those you have used so far… flowers or trash cans or shop windows! … but I would have no complaints if you carry on in just the same way!
@yrhenwr tx David :) flowers are just never gonna happen - i can't seem to connect with them on a photographic level... and trashcans i've done (believe it or not! this one among several others: http://365project.org/northy/365/2012-07-24 )... truth to tell, i have enough vanity that i don't much mind my work being recognizable - although i really don't know how to react when people refer to "a" northy shot, or "northy style"... (i know it's meant as a compliment, but it really makes me feel quite shy)... anyhow... mostly i'm just frustrated by having so little time and energy these days to get out and see / do something different... i really do appreciate your encouragement, however... you've been there from the beginning and i think one of the first to put me on to black and white!
and, btw, with the right information, the t-shirt could be in the mail...just sayin'!
Great shot!
@bill_fe Awwww, a Yankee fan!
