another one for the september sooc challenge... i spent some time mucking about with camera settings to see how close i could come to getting the blacks truly black and the whites truly white "in camera"... i think this is as close as i got... the whites could be whiter... but any increase in exposure starts to lessen the blacks... at this point, i've totally forgotten what ev i was using, although i think it may have been around ev+0.7...
i think i should be able to enable some clipping warnings in the camera settings so i will spend some time looking that up later tonight which might help with this...
incidentally, much as i love the EM5 it continues to mystify me why they don't have proper WYSIWYG on the live view... the live view will tell you what EV you will get from your current settings, but it won't "show" you... apparently many think this is a GOOD thing... but i find it quite frustrating...
You really should let it out from time to time! :-) I can see an 'horizon'... surface and backdrop different? .. or surface illumination less intense than background? Still impressive for SOOC
@yrhenwr tx David :) the surface is a piece of black counter top (if that makes any sense)... it is quite reflective, but the black dulls things out a bit...
Looks good. Love the gradient of the reflection.
With the WYSIWYG - I guess it's not an option, is it? I remember I found it was an option on the Sony after a rather stressful afternoon trying to use my big stopper when I first got my NEX.
