@30pics4jackiesdiamond no worries about asking Jackie... this is a single shot and there was no photoshop or other trickery involved... I was croauched down low and focussed on the rocks resulting in the city being no slightly out of focus...
I love the creativity and the execution. The lighting must have very tricky, and I'm a sucker for low-key, black and white.
I hate to say this again, but it also gives me a "1960s" feeling when I look at it -- a lot of your B&W work is evocative of the '40s, '50s, '60s, at least to me -- and I realized it made me think of those old horror movies and disaster movies where they use miniture cityscapes for flood scenes and Godzilla's rampages.
@dood14 thank you Eddie... such a lovely complement! i have never been a fan of horror or disaster movies, but i do like me some film-noir :) The lighting wasn't too tricky with this... i'm trying to recall the day, but i don't think the sun was overly harsh at that time... at any rate, it was behind me and not in front, and it wasn't glaring off the water... mind you, i did have to add a gradient in LR at the bottom as it was a bit too bright originally....
