Why DOF is sooooo important! by northy

Why DOF is sooooo important!

This is not the collage I was referring to when I started that discussion thread earlier... and this didn't turn out quite how I intended... but I am tired of messing around with it so it will have to do for now :)

This is the the camera settings challenge:
http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/14572/new-camera-settings-challenge-14

I used my macro lens (100m f/2.8)... all photos taken from more or less the same spot (i did have to pull back a bit to get the full cow in the frame)...

The first two images are taken at f/2.8... the first one focussed on the tacks, the second on the pumpkins... the third image is at f/11, focus on the pumpkins...

My black and white and light shot is in my main album:

Thank you for all the wonderful comments on yesterday's train shot, and on my candid portrait attempt :)

@gphelps5 yup! The tacks are there... They show up as bokeh in the 2nd shot and you can see them lined up on the bottom if the third shot - although they are blurry...
