Oh, this is excellent! I see now why you weren't pleased with the other one, if this is what you were after. I still think the other is still great, even though it wasn't what you wanted.

My only criticism of this is that the board squares in the foreground appear to be raised, I think because they're outside the dof. If you could set things up so that you got all the foreground in focus it would be better. Minor quibble though. I'm still fav'ing it.
