btw - not that i will have another chance at this for years if ever, but if anyone has any suggestions on camera settings and stuff that would have improved this, i'd really like to hear them...
@abirkill@grizzlysghost - not that i can do any retakes at this point, but if you have suggestions on what i ought to have done differently i'd be happy to hear about it... :)
Spectacular! I love how the stars are visible through the glow. Is it really this kind of florescent green? (I ask the girl who loves to process . . .)
Must have been such a great experience.
I guess they're a bit like drip rig shots - each one on its own is awesome, but paging through a few hundred in Lightroom, you can lose the will to live. ;)
Fantastic pictures.
I saw the aurora borealis last year from a plane flying into Iceland. Watched it from my window seat, with my camera trapped in the overhead bin and two sleeping strangers between me and it. Glad you were able to capture it.
