sooooooooo... for get pushed this week @littlequeenie challenged me to take some photos for the local tourist board - selling the place where I live to visitors, tourists, business people...
i can't say i'm in love with any of these images... but after two walkabouts downtown and some 200 shots - i kinda give up... sorry!
@littlequeenie - i tried - really i did! but i just don't find this kind of photography that compelling... even when i travel, i come home with all sorts of shots of the local sights, and pretty much ditch all of them... probably would have been better if i could've gotten myself downtown at 6am when things are mostly empty and the light is nicer :)
An interesting challenge for you. individually, the shots work fine I think, but the tourist board might also like your 'heart' in the city street photo shots. 🙂
@northy - it's a cool montage. I guess you don't do conventional - and that is no bad thing! I feel that the photo on the bottom left could be on a postcard - so you'd have a successful commission from the tourist board I am sure :) Thanks for trying so hard :)
@littlequeenie tx! Of course, the irony is that that particular shot is the one I like the least! But I really do need to learn to look at things differently every now and then - so definitely a goodchallenge for me... Tx!
