Like Peggy I love the negative space. Makes everything look so small and yet not.. if that makes any sense. I love the picture, I've been staring, very compelling image.
@northy We're leaving today...sympathies for you but envy your additional day here. Baja is that long skinny peninsula to the west of Mexico's mainland, down from CA. At the bottom of the peninsula is the Cabo area -- San Lucas (cheesy touristy area, but nice rock formations in the sea) and San Jose -- cute artist town with traditional town square. We're at San Jose.
Several years ago I went parasailing with my daughter. The original idea was that she would go and I would stay on the boat below and take her picture but, when we got there, they informed us that since it was a windy day and she weighed only about 112 lbs it wouldn't be safe for her to go up alone, as she didn't weigh enough to safely anchor the sail. She could only go if I went as an added anchor. The good news is that I got to go for half price, the bad news that since we hadn't signed up for photos (since I was supposed to be taking those) we have no record. Nice to know that I am at least still useful as a dead weight!
Sorry meant to add that I like the colour tones of this, they make it somehow more interesting and timeless than a similar shot against a blue sky would be.

Love the sense of wide open space. Hope you're having a great time.
