Ha! I thought it was some asian inspired composition of yours. Looks like a bookmark or fabric strip floating above the other image. I rather like it and am going to put it in my favorites just because I can. :-) Sadly I know nothing of silver fx or what could be happening.
I've never run into this problem, but I am not using CC. I do occasionally experience small problems with LR5 wanting to change things on me. This also happens with PSCS5. I have done reinstalls of the Nik software and it usually corrects the gremlins I am experiencing.
If that doesn't work you could try reinstalling the LRCC
When such things happen to me I just want to drown the computer and ditch this digital life. But I hope you fix it because I don't want to not see your photos!
It was old graphic drivers in my case.
