I love old maps and new. Part of the pleasure of a holiday is studying them and seeing the changes made by new roads and finding unmarked roads. love the names on your map...Lobster Cove and Trout River sound like something out of Arthur Ramsome and Swallows and Amazons!
Dear Nova, have a wonderful and safe trip and great holidays.
When I look at this map, I have such a lot of beautiful memories,.... and I'm so happy for you that you will be in Gros Morne for the next couple of days. Enjoy it, have fun and relax!
Go with both...maps are so much fun to look at and they give you much more perspective! But depend on the GPS for ease! Hope you have a wonderful trip! Can't wait to see photos on your return.
Thank you for all your wishes for a great trip and it worked, as it was wonderful. We travelled the west coast of Newfoundland, with some of my hubby's family (11 of us in total) and had a great time. Home base was in Gros Morne, with a 3 day excursion to the upper most tip of the island. (St. Anthony and L'Anse aux Meadows a National Historic Site). Of the four moose we saw, only one was on the road as we were driving and there were no collusions. Internet and cellular service were not available in many of the locations we were at, so we were truly off the grid, which was a nice change but seemed very strange to me. I missed seeing all the amazing images while I was away and look forward to catching up.
