Cloe helped me give this picture its title. It's raining today, so all the trees are wet! I liked how the rain gave these trees a striped effect and highligthed the different shades of brown and gray. I hope you like it too. Well, Cloe's waiting- it's time to go play!
Thanks Rick, Pam and Roe Jan for your comments. Rick, my camera has a setting called "vibrant color". I think that's what gave the trees the deep color you noticed. Roe Jan- we're on top of a mountain, so we definitely get weather that comes in one way and moves on many times. Today's rain shower was just like that. Pam- this tree really does have texture! One side is completely dead and the woodpeckers use it for attracting mates all the time. The other side is still alive and well and as long as it's healthy my husband says it can stay. But if there's ever a sign of wood eating bugs- it's gotta go )o:
