Last shot of the indoor/outdoor pictures for the June challenge and couldn't decide which way to go. So here we have a hint of the indoor with the roof line and a glimpse of the outdoor with the trees about my home. I took this just before noon and the day was promising to be a scorcher, so I made a hasty retreat to my air conditioned computer room!
brilliant idea to have included the trees. lovely contrast of textures between wood and leaves, as well as colours and lines. so yes, how did you get to have 1000 photos? :-)
@woot Thanks Davide! @allie912 Thanks Allison! After going to help a friend decorate for a birthday party tomorrow, I am back in the coolness of my air conditioned room. You stay cool too! @summerfield Thanks Vikki! I don't know- unless they're counting my second album as well (which I don't really count because sometimes I just post leftover pictures in there!). According to the counter on this shot I've taken 181 pictures this year and 365 from last year. @wenbow Thanks Wendy- just looking up under the eaves on the front of the house- that's all. @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi!
@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen! @myautofocuslife Thank you Livia! I really appreciate that! @lyoungs1023 Thank you Elizabeth! @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! Yes- somewhat. The history around here is that it was all forest until the settlers came. They turned it into farmland. When those families moved on, the forests began to grow again. Then the area became a popular vacation spot and some of those regrown forests were once again cut down- but not as many as before. The hunting and fishing recreation sorts kept a lot of the area green. In the 70's there was a building boom here, and then another building boom in the 90's. It has somewhat leveled off now as far as housing but the people who are now living here full-time instead of as a vacation home have brought in a lot of businesses and the infrastructure is also under reconstruction so even though we still have a great deal of older trees, they are young in comparison to what used to be here! @salza Thanks Sally- wish I could send you some!! @pandorasecho Thanks Dixie! I don't do well in either extreme, but if I could I'd send you some of the extra degrees we don't need! @ellimae Thanks Ellen! Alia designed the challenge for the month of July. It's called "Thumbnail Challenge". I think this is the address: http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/13208/july-thumbnail-challenge. And if I didn't get that right, you can find it in the archives of the themes and competitions. Alia posted it about a week ago. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, so see what you think! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! Yes, I did! @paulavdmerwe Thanks Paula!
Interesting point of view, fits the challenge well. The usually harsh midday sunlight works well in this photo. Impressed with your creativity with these challenges.
