Sepia & Western by olivetreeann

Sepia & Western

I'm shifting some of the July 2013 words around because I want to have a Teddy Bear Picnic when my granddaughter comes to visit. And I thought I'd give this week's theme a try too, since I have a willing model in the hat I used to wear when Jeff and I did Line Dancing. So here's a sepia version of my black hat looking rather forlorn having not been used for so long.
Nice sepia

I bet it looks stunning on you in that color.
Ann, as to your question- we had planned to go up to the Shloss Burg once before but because we walked that time which took us over 2 hours through forests mostly up hill and since I had taken so many pictures on the way, the battery of my camera was empty and I didn't bring the spare, so when we got there we decided to come back another day. just to look and not being able to take photographs wasn't my idea. smart, so this time around we took the car up to the Shloss. the day we walked we would've taken the seilbahn and I would've backed out as I'm afraid to ride on one of those.. to our surprise we timed it right as a medieval festivities were on over the weekend. here is a link to one of the pictures.

Love the vintage feel to this image.

Sounds like a great idea to be flexible and move those photo challenges around. I think the sepia tones made your black hat look even better for the C and W theme. You should put on that hat, find a place to line dance,and go scoot some boots!

@henrir @summerfield @daisy

Thank you Henri! It's not as big as the hats in Texas, but I always liked wearing it! hehe

Thanks Vikki- gusto? Oh, so that's what they call always getting mixed up and bumping into the other dancers!

@edie Thanks Edie! I don't know I just felt country and western had to be sepia (even though the color version didn't look all that bad).

Nice shot, Ann! Love the detail on the hat. I can picture you doing the Boot Scootin' Boogie (is that even what it's called???).... Very nice job capturing the textures of both the hat and the surface it sits one. Well done! :)

@prttblues Thank you Bev! I never mastered that one- but we did do another line dance to that song...hmm...which one was it? I think it was the Jackson Stomp, but I honestly forget! They really were a lot of fun.
