Two challenges in one here! The word for the day is box or boxes and Stephanie Nguyen invited anyone on 365 to join in her "Get Pushed" challenge this week. The challenge was to collect five objects from 5 different rooms (one object per room) in your home and arrange them in a still life. So I collected 5 boxes from the kitchen, the bathroom, the living room, the bedroom and the "back room" (our catch-all room) and stacked them in this pile on my dining room table. Ta-da!

Stephanie's "Get Pushed" challenge- 5 Item Still Life
@anazad511 Thank you Ana! The original picture had some really nice bright spots and others not so nice, so I decided to go with this to bring out the colors and was really pleased the way it turned out.
@attraversi Thanks for inviting 365 to join you in your challenge. Here's my little contribution. It was fun to combine the two challenges together. Hope you like it!
Good idea & fun processing. I rather like this challenge of the 5 objects in 5 rooms. Still can't come up with anything interesting, but will work on it.
I want to try this this weekend! Fun fun! I see a paperweight and seasoning...I wonder what the others are? Turned out nice with some ETSOOI treatment!
@archaeofrog Thank you Katie! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! They can go either way- they can help to spur you on or drive you crazy trying to figure out how you're going to accomplish the shot. I've been doing a monthly challenge and then some for about 2 years and I've finally had enough. I'm taking a break from them in October and it's going to be very interesting to see how I handle it! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! @twr Thank you Timothy! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian! @prttblues Thanks Bev! @attraversi Thank you Stephanie! I had fun with it and may do it again some time with more random objects. @sangwann Thank you Dione! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! Will do on the tag. @alia_801 Thanks Alia! Hadn't seen that until you pointed it out! @salza Thank you Sally- will add that to the tags. @genealogygenie Thank you Kim! @allie912 Thank you Allison! @henrir Thanks Henri! @espyetta Thanks Marybeth- I think I will do it again some time with more random objects. Here's the scoop on the boxes: bottom- a Boy Scout first aid box from the bathroom (tin); next up a box made of olive wood with a picture of Jerusalem on top that my friend Judy gave me. I don't know where she got it from as she's never been to Israel- but she thought of me when she found it (from the living room); middle box is a paperweight from our catch-all room where the main computer desk is. My mom gave it to me when I was in high school. It's glass and has a Joan Walsh Anglund picture inside- a favorite illustrator of mine; second to top Bell's Seasoning from the kitchen. This combination of spices is a really tasty addition to turkey stuffing; and lastly, from my bedroom, a little box which holds a couple different charms from my second trip to Israel and my trip to Greece- both crosses which I interchange on a gold necklace along with some others which are kept in a different box within my jewelry box. So there you have it- boxes, boxes, boxes.
