I took a quick look at the current artist challenge photographer's work and was drawn to his use of nature in abstract photography. It reminded me of the lichen growing on an old lawn decoration of ours (the wishing well that disguises the cap to our pump) so I went outside and grabbed a shot of it. I am particularly pleased with this shot as there is virtually no editing here- just a tweak in the sharpen and contrast modes and that's it!
