It was cold, damp, and rainy here today. And the joints in my hands were giving me a lot of trouble, so I really didn't get any shots off until late in the afternoon. By then I'd played around with a couple shots I decided I really wanted to post, so I'll use the others at another time.
A while back Vikki @summerfield posted a shot of some black birds sitting on some sort of post. Bill @bill_fe took Vikki's shot and added his own little twist. Somewhere in the ensuing conversation between the two of them my name and my flying food shot came up. Was this some sort of hint that flying food should be added to the shot? Been there, done that! No, what the crows and pterodactyl needed was a comet and a magic castle!
This building is actually the performing arts building of Jersey City University, but it sure looks like a castle to me!
hahahaha! that is one awesome processing, ann. i looked at the pic and your comment and had to read your blurb. i didn't recognize my bird shot as you incorporated it so darn well. it took a while to sink in. duh! awesome! i'm faving it because my shot is in there, too! hahahaha!
If you hadn't told us, I would have thought this was a castle!!! It is all so wonderful and magical! Love the lights and fairy tale feel to this photo!! Awesome job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FAV
PS. I talked to the guys at the farm today and the Clydesdale Ads WILL be put on and it was just a bad rumor that had started and then picked up and ran with. So yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
@olivetreeann@summerfield
Wow Ann! You really gave this a stunning twist. It was so well worth the wait. Instant fav, because my pterodactyl is in there! (:-P Vikki)
The response to this shot is just overwhelming! And to think I just started playing with it because I was bored! Thank you especially to all who fav'd it as well. To see that it was both on the TP and the PP is a nice discovery after learning my younger son and family will be moving to Texas. Glad he got the job; not glad that I will not see them for a LONG time. This helps cheer me up a little bit.
@ceilidh I would be happy to email you a signed version that you could use if you'd like Margaret. My niece (who attends this school) loved the shot so much she wanted to post it on her FaceBook site, so I added the signature in and also took out the white blotch on the pterodactyl's head. I would be glad to share it with you. (o:
@summerfield No, my younger one- Michigan. Taking it pretty hard too. @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole- you're very sweet to say that! Sometimes I know what I want to do, but most of the time, I'm just experimenting!
@olivetreeann - i know how you feel. the last few days, all i'm thinking about was the two grandsons. i really miss them. it was different when i rarely see them, but at least they're accessible. but them being on the other side of the country, it seems i would never see them again even though i know i will see them again. when is another matter. hope WE feel better soon. :-)
@bill_fe Thank you Bill- and congratulations to you too! After all it is your pterodactyl! @prttblues Thank you Bev and thanks for the fav too! My niece thought it was hysterical.
@olivetreeann you know, there should be a fav button for the following list too, so you could always be sure to see the posts of your fav people. I hate when I realize I've missed posts from my top ten people.
