Today's circle is a frailing banjo a friend gave us years ago. It's always been more of a decoration than something to make music on. But it has its own beauty and looks even better when you give it that "old photo" touch!
This is very artistic and great of you to see this out of something ordinary or almost ordinary - you can't call a banjo ordinary - it would be most insulted!
Congratulations on the PP before I even get a chance to view it! It makes most excellent piece of art! Your choice of processing makes it look like abstract art almost!
Thank you so much for the favs Carolyn, Wendy, Nina, Alia, Dione and Taffy! And here I thought this was a quick and simple shot dressed up with some interesting processing!
Thank you Edie, Bill, Phoebe, Sally, Debs, Margo, Joyce, Mike, Katy, Hazel, Nicole, Suse, Pyrrhula and Pam! I'm surprised by the overwhelming response to this shot! I thought was plain looking so slapped on a texture and interesting edging just for fun.
Wow! Trending Page and Popular page!! Thank you so much for all the views, comments and favs!
@susale Actually Suse, I really didn't do much. The lamp in this room gives off a warm glow and the wall color is neutral so it picks up color from the lamp. The banjo is old so it has a vintage look to it already. I just found a "vintage effect" that added a little more color and then applied a "frame" that looked like paint around the edges. A quick and simple fix to a somewhat simple shot.
@777margo Thank you Margo! Yes, I'm enjoying this although I'm thinking I might be stuck in the same color palette! @bruni Thank you Bruni and thank you so much for the fav!
