The day started out cloudy and there was some drizzle on and off. I thought for sure there'd be more coming as we're supposed to be getting some weather effects from Irma. But just after lunch the sun poked through the clouds and continued to peek in and out of them for the rest of the afternoon. I decided it was time to go out and survey the woods to see if anything interesting was coming up. And sure enough there were some very nice mushrooms coming up through the moss and leaves. This one however was knocked over giving me the opportunity to photograph it's underside- those folds always fascinate me!
