No Katy- it's shot from directly overhead. They are growing out of the cut edge of wood that's destined for splitting. If you look carefully you'll see some sloppy photographer's foot in there but I couldn't edit it out!!
@olivetreeann Oh yeah I see the foot. I had some fungi on my deck once like this and that is why I thought you inverted it. I forgot about your woodpiles
@olivetreeann Truthfully, unless you know it would be hard to say that’s a foot. It looks like it could be a rock and I would venture to say that most people are focusing on the fungi and don’t see it at all. I know I didn’t
