Today it's WILD weather. I can't believe how much rain we've had dumped on us in the last 24 hours. It was a solid sheet of water this afternoon for a good half hour and the same last night only longer and with thunder and lightning. How I wish I could package it and send it out those who really need it.
@randystreat Thanks Kathy. I had planned to go out and visit a friend in the hospital today but it was so thick I decided to turn around and head back home. I just didn't want to take any chances. Thanks for the fav!!
I like how you named your photo! I’m glad you turned back and didn’t take any chances heading out in that rain. Better to play it safe, but at least you still got a great shot out of it!
Fabulous shot and presentation, one can literally feel how heavy the rain is. Good that you turned back, sorry that the friend missed out on your visit though. I love rain, but only when I'm indoors ;-)
You should have caught the mood of the moment with this photo. Storms like that often don’t show up well in a photo. Anytime you don’t want to thunderstorm send it my way, I love them
Good rainy day shot. My area had torrential rain earlier this week. We now have over 95% of the rain we normally get in the whole month of June. Yes, we need to start building an ark.
Thank you my friends! We were rewarded with a beautiful sunny day today. We did not have any flooding at our house but I know some areas are probably more watery than others. However, the back yard is decidedly soggy! I was able to visit my friend today so all is well.
@pyrrhula That is an awesome structure- I have seen it before. There is another one that has been built in Kentucky as a museum. I hope to go and see it someday.
@grammyn I don't mind the thunder and lightning too much but it does catch me off-guard sometimes. The night before was quite loud and right overhead.
@shutterbug49 Sounds like a plan! In some ways this large amount is good for the water table- hopefully it fills up enough so there is less chance for drought in August. But I was also thinking of how great it could be if we were able to collect and send the excess to parts of the country that needed it. Well, no one ever expected it to be possible to take pictures with your phone or to make calls from a phone in your hand at the supermarket in the past so maybe someone will come up with something in the not too distant future.
(Just translate it to you language)
Great shot of yours

@edorreandresen It's no effect- it's real!
@haskar Thank you Haskar and thanks for the fav! Nice if you're a fish I suppose!
