26th July 2014 - Take off

I have been trying for so long to catch a bumble bee in flight but it is very difficult as their flight is so erratic!! I finally caught this little chap as he took off from the teasel - who knew they were purple when in flower - not me!! Not as pin sharp as I would like - but hey ho I caught him!! LOL!!

I certainly didn't know they were purple in flower Pam. I've learned something. I've seen lots of the dried heads in paddocks, so now I know what to look for in spring. Love the shot too.
