12th July 2015 - Blackpool Tower across the Bay

This is taken from the patio of our cottage in Bardsea looking across Morecombe Bay. I was surprised that I could see Blackpool Tower and as it was sunny today it was clearer than yesterday. I am not sure how many miles away this is - does anyone know how wide the Bay is? Taken with my 100-400mm lens - definitely not long enough!! I had a play with the LR presets and managed to get a bit more detail out of the shot. The black dot in the middle of the Bay is a landrover and trailer I think - not sure what he was doing - maybe searching for cockles?

It is 16 miles long and 10 miles wide, Pam! Thats so far so your photo is so good! I'd imagine on some days it would be seen more easily! Your photo is great for its DOF and lines!
